FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING OF PAVITRA GANGA IN NEW DELHI

On the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of March 2020, all Pavitra Ganga partners came together for the first time to have a General Assembly. After a year of monthly management and work package meetings to discuss the planning and actions of the project, we were able to organize a face-to-face meeting at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi with nearly all partners present.

We just managed to get this important meeting in before the COVID-19 virus brought laboratory and field activities to a stand-still. The General Assembly was preceded by the official Pavitra Ganga Launch during the morning of 2 April (see other news item).

Session 1 on Day 1 focused on the Work Packages leaders and the technology and service providers providing an update on the first results of the different project activities.

Day 2 started with a field visit to the Barapullah Drain Innovation Site, where Pavitra Ganga treatment technology pilots  will be demonstrated alongside other treatment technology pilots from the LOTUS HR project.

The second half of Day 2 (Session 2) was devoted to Work Package breakout sessions to map out the work for the following 12 months and beyond.  The planning was then presented to the whole General Assembly during the first half of Day 3 (Session 3).

We would like to express our thanks to IIT Delhi for hosting the General Assembly and we look forward to making progress together during 2020 despite the threat of COVID-19.
